Winter storm to impact Louisville. Here’s when and what forecasters expect

The Louisville metro area could see more snow and bitterly cold temperatures Jan. 24-25, which could cause disruptions, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Louisville.

NWS Louisville meteorologist Brian Neudorff said forecasters have “high confidence” that a winter storm will impact Kentucky and bring “very cold Arctic air” and accumulating snowfall, though a wintry mix of ice in some areas is still possible. Over the weekend, the maximum temperatures in Louisville will be around 18-23 degrees, while the lows will be around nine to 10 degrees. Louisville could also see wind chills as low as negative 3 degrees Jan. 24.
