JCPS defends decision to hold in-person classes despite icy conditions, bus crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Some parents questioned why Jefferson County Public Schools held in-person classes Wednesday instead of using Non-Traditional Instruction.

People also took to social media voicing their concerns.

WDRB asked the district how the decision was made, even though there were icy and snowy conditions in the morning as students were headed to school.

A JCPS bus was involved in a crash on Interstate 264 West shortly after 7 a.m. JCPS spokesperson Carolyn Callahan said a car slid in front of the bus, causing the crash. No one was injured…
