Child hospitalized after being shot near Pleasure Ridge Park, Louisville police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are investigating after a child was shot near the city’s Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.

The shooting was reported around 9:35 p.m. Thursday in the 6500 block of Don Bon Court, Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Adam Sears said in a statement. That’s off Santa Fe Trail and Lower Hunters Trace, near the Greenbelt Highway.

Once on scene, police found a child who had been shot. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to Norton Children’s Hospital. Sears said the child was “alert and conscious” when being transported…
