2 Louisville notaries charged with attempting to sell 71 fraudulent Kentucky temporary tags

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two notaries public were arrested Saturday in Louisville after allegedly trying to sell 71 fraudulent Kentucky temporary tags on Facebook Marketplace.

According to a news release, the Bancroft Police Department arrested 30-year-old Joann Smith and 33-year-old DeAngelo Thomas, both of Louisville, and charged them with 71 counts of complicity to steal, produce, copy or illegally acquire temporary tags.
