A man has been arrested after a carjacking turned police chase Friday night, according to Louisville police.
Louisville Metro Police Department said officers responded to the reported carjacking near 11th and Broadway around 11:30 p.m. on January 30. The victim reportedly told officers she had been carjacked at knifepoint before running inside Platinum Food Mart to call police.
Police said officers found the stolen vehicle around 20 minutes later. When officers tried to pull the car over, the driver fled and police pursued. The suspect, later identified by police as Mark Dawson, then crashed the stolen vehicle in the 3900 block of Garland Avenue and ran from the scene…
