KENTUCKY — Another unhoused person has died in Louisville as the region continues to experience extreme winter weather, city officials confirmed Wednesday.
Mayor Craig Greenberg said a person was found dead overnight inside a tent off Bank Street. The discovery comes as temperatures across the area dropped into the 20s, with wind chills reaching as low as 10 degrees.
Greenberg said the individual had been in contact Tuesday afternoon with the city’s HEART outreach team, which works to assist people experiencing homelessness. He said outreach workers had also interacted with the person multiple times over the past several months…
