Louisville family pushes for change after man is murdered in Eastern Kentucky prison

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A family is grieving after a man was found dead in his prison cell at a Kentucky prison almost six months ago. They’re now pushing for what they’re calling Tony’s Law, hoping for answers and to make things smoother for other families going forward.

Robert Broyles Jr., also known as Tony, was nine days away from being released from the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex when he was found unresponsive in his cell.

His family has decided to push for more accountability and transparency after they said getting details about how Tony died has been difficult…
