The youngest victim, Kimberly Asa, was known for singing church hymns. But the words she said the day before she lost her life, her mother will carry forever.
“Usually she’s like, ‘Mommy, Jesus died. I’m sad,’” said Sherline Fedon, Asa’s mother. “I’m like, ‘He rose again. He’s alive.’ So, when she prayed on her own, she literally said, ‘Father God, Jesus died, but Jesus is alive, and He’s my friend. Thank you.’”
