Teamsters file emergency motion and injunction against UPS buyout

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Teamsters Union has filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order and injunction on UPS in response to what they are calling an illegal buyout targeting UPS Teamsters drivers.

The Driver Choice Program will be announced by the company this week.

In its court filings, the Teamsters say they have detailed at least six violations of its National Master Agreement by UPS in the rollout of the buyout program, including direct dealing of new contracts with workers, elimination of union jobs…
