A very good dog leads officers to missing 3-year-old

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WJW) — A missing 3-year-old was found thanks to a neighborhood dog who led the way for officers.

Footage from the Louisville Metro Police Department shows officers searching on foot, flying drones, and using helicopters on Jan. 7.

“Any time you have a kid that young, you’re fearful,” Officer Josh Thompson says in the video. “When it’s a missing kid under the age of 11, if you’re not on a run actively, everyone goes to it.”

But as officers rushed to help find the missing child, “Then came an unexpected hero: a neighborhood dog who seemed to know something was wrong and led officers straight to the child,” the LMPD said on Facebook…
