LOUISVILLE, Ky. — More job cuts are possible, but not certain, in JCPS as its final stretch of budget cuts are negotiated.
At his first State of the District address, Superintendent Brian Yearwood says the district is stabilizing after 648 JCPS jobs were cut — with 278 added back. But when asked if the district is done with job cuts, Yearwood wouldn’t commit.
“I would love to say that we’re done with job cuts,” Yearwood answered. “However, we have to make sure that our budget deficit is handled. We’re still negotiating about $30 million.”…
