SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 is investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 7:34 p.m. at the intersection of KY 44 East and Watergate Drive near Mount Washington in Bullitt County.
The preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Tacoma, operated by a juvenile, was traveling westbound on KY 44 East when, for unknown reasons, the passenger-side tires dropped off the right side of the roadway onto a steep shoulder. The operator overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the centerline into the eastbound lane and into the path of a Ford Escape.
