Former director of Louisville youth detention center sentenced to probation in 2024 crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The former director of Louisville’s youth detention center was sentenced for crashing a city-owned car and leaving the scene.

Toni Rice was sentenced to five years probation by a Louisville judge Thursday morning.

She pleaded guilty in January to several charges, including failure to stop and render aid, tampering with evidence, tampering with a witness, intimidation and official misconduct. According to court documents, she also must pay $21,000 in restitution…
