Independent review of JCPS finances points to lack of oversight

LOUISVILLE, Ky. β€” The Jefferson County Board of Education will go over an independent review of its financial practices at its next meeting.

A report by the accounting firm Plante Moran found that the JCPS budgeting process lacked oversight and accountability. For months the district, under a new superintendent, has been working to close a $188-million deficit.
