Louisville family hosts fundraiser as car crash causes temporary Highlands restaurant closure

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kiwami Ramen dishes are made once again, but at the Louisville StrEatery in Beechmont. A pop-up fundraiser went on all weekend for Kiwami Ramen.

The restaurant has temporarily closed after a car crashed into the side of the building on February 28. Alexis Calvillo was arrested and charged for the incident.

The weekend fundraiser was born from brotherly love. Owner of the StrEatery and older brother, Dun Tran coordinated with his brother and owner of Kiwami Ramen, Duc Tran to put the fundraiser on, thinking of the restaurant and its employees…
