LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Sharon Martin sits in the front room of her home on Teakwood Circle. Pictures of family who have died are framed and displayed on tables around the room.
Now her great niece, 16-year-old Janiah Brown, will be added to those pictures.
“I don’t know what to do. I think she’s still going to come in this door,” Martin said, looking from her chair out the front door. “When everybody leaves [the house], this is the most lonely feeling I’ve ever had to know what happened to her and how I couldn’t do anything about it.”…
