Louisville planners back downzoning at Givaudan blast site in Clifton

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Residents of Louisville’s Clifton neighborhood have enlisted the help of Metro Louisville’s Office of Planning to make recommendations on how to rezone the site of the Givaudan factory explosion.

On Monday, residents heard recommendations on how the city might rezone the Givaudan property to prevent future industrial accidents.

As the remnants of the Givaudan color factory are cleared away, the Clifton neighborhood is wondering what’s next for the three-acre industrial site…
