LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A rare 1914 Boston “Miracle” Braves World Series ring and Hall of Fame jockey Calvin Borel’s Kentucky Derby trophies headline Lelands’ 2026 Spring Classic Auction, running through April 18.
The ring belonged to Red Smith, part of the Braves team that stunned baseball in 1914 by rising from last place midseason and sweeping the Philadelphia Athletics in the World Series.
Only three rings from that championship team are known to exist, each with a unique design that collectors believe reflects custom creation rather than standard issue…
