More than 400 pounds of explosives stolen from Kentucky construction site; 2 charged

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKRC) — A man and woman in Kentucky are facing charges after authorities said they stole 438 pounds of explosive material from a Louisville construction site.

ATF and Louisville police were alerted to the theft on Wednesday. U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky Kyle Bumgarner said in a statement that all the explosives were recovered in less than 24 hours and the suspects had been arrested.

James Culver, 44, and Lasierra Chesher, 39, were arrested for the theft on Thursday, reports WAVE. Authorities believe Culver and Chesher drove to the construction site, where Culver broke the locks.
