LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Mike Battaglia has been setting the morning-line odds at Churchill Downs since 1974. But after 51 years at the track, he decided to retire.
Churchill Downs made the announcement Friday in a brief press release that said, “Battaglia has been responsible for setting the morning line odds at Churchill Downs since 1974, a role that made him one of the most recognizable figures in American horse racing.”
