JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) – The issues at the Meranda Complex in Jeffersonville have been years in the making, ever since they were the Claysburg II Towers.

From drug deals to break-ins and assaults, residents say it is a scary place to live.

As a Section 8 senior housing building, the building’s 12-stories are home to dozens of people who cannot afford much else. A resident speaking with WAVE anonymously explained, lately, it feels like they are paying to live in a jail…
