Louisville Man Facing Assault and Strangulation Charges Following Domestic Abuse Complaint in Columbia

Columbia, KY (Green River Media) – Columbia Police Department arrested a Louisville man on Thursday following a domestic violence complaint on Holloway Drive. Officers were dispatched at approximately 11:37 AM CT and located the alleged male suspect at the scene and took him into custody without incident.

The female victim was transported to T.J. Health Columbia Emergency Room by Adair County EMS and was release following treatment. Brandon L. Gist, 19, of Louisville, Kentucky, was arrested and charged with Assault, 2nd Degree (Domestic Violence) and Strangulation, 1st Degree (Domestic Violence Related).
