Kentucky Humane Society hopes to save more lives, serve more families with new campus

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Crews broke ground Thursday morning during a public ceremony at the Kentucky Humane Society’s new campus.

The new KHS Animal & Community Campus will be located on more than 5 acres of land on Orchard Avenue, off Preston Highway. It will replace the nonprofit’s current facilities.

The plans call for a 54,000-square-foot facility with 7,000 square feet of covered outdoor space.
