Lubbock woman indicted for creating, distributing bestiality material

LUBBOCK, Texas — Laura Ann Russell, 24, was recently indicted in May 2026 on charges of Creation of Animal Crush Video, Distribution of an Animal Crush Video and Transportation of Obscene Matter, according to unsealed documents obtained on Monday.

According to an indictment obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, in or around the time of February 2025, Russell knowingly created an animal crush video. The indictment explains that as an obscene image of Russell engaging in a sexual act with a live dog, intending and knowingly distributed said content.

EverythingLubbock.com previously reported that a written and audio statement from an individual known to Russell, provided to Lubbock authorities, indicated that Russell had a sexual fixation on animals, referred to as “zoophilia.” The statements also indicated that Russell had two separate occasions, during which Russell admitted to having sexual intercourse with two different canines, with one incident occurring in Lubbock. Court documents also revealed that Russell admitted to her ex-partner that she performed sexual acts with it in text conversations…
