ODESSA, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Lubbock Fire Rescue reported that an Odessa Fire Rescue Lieutenant was honored and escorted into Lubbock for an autopsy following his death at a structure fire in Odessa on Sunday.
Lubbock FR said its crews and multiple first responders honored Odessa Fire Rescue Lieutenant Isai Huerta as he was escorted into Lubbock for his autopsy following a line-of-duty death over the weekend.
The City of Odessa reported Huerta died after being injured while working a home fire on June 14. Odessa Fire Rescue was called to a fire in the 1900 block of South Westcliff Road. Six firefighters were injured while working the fire.
