LUBBOCK, Texas — 26 volunteers with ASEZ WAO of the World Mission Society Church of God, including four volunteers from Home Depot helping out, braved the extreme heat this Father’s Day to plant trees at Bill and Ann Miller Park.
Together, the volunteers planted nine trees in the park to help the environment and create a greener community for everyone to enjoy. The volunteers worked from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. despite the day’s high temperature reaching in the triple digits.
