LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock man Tyrell Hunt has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after an altercation on September 14, 2026.
On September 14, patrol officers responded to a call made at 4:30 a.m. at 2812 Cornell Street. Upon arrival, officers were told of two female victims, who had been “pistol whipped” and had left for the hospital to seek medical attention. One of the victims suffered a broken jaw on the left side and fractured jaw on the right, according to court documents.

Police records state that the victims were at a party and were speaking with Hunt and pointed out a tattoo of a female name on his eyebrow. The two victims were laughing about the tattoo when Hunt stood up, drew a firearm from him waistband area and said, “I’m not gonna lie y’all hoes gonna stop talking about Leilani.”…
