This is not an elaborate scheme! The City of Lubbock will be waiving arrests for unpaid citations and warrants during the first two weeks of October as long as you show up and pay your late fees in person.
These efforts are a part of the October Case Resolution Campaign. I imagine they are intended to clean up some of the backed-up cases that the Municipal Court has in its schedules. You know what? I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all!
Lubbock’s October Case Resolution Campaign Details
If you have pending charges in Lubbock Municipal Court, then you can visit their location on 1214 14th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day from Thursday, October 1, through Friday, October 16.
No appointments are needed, and Spanish translators are available upon request…
