LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock American Business Club will participate in the South Plains Fair for its third year and since July, members of the non-profit have been working on the dine-in booth since July to ensure fairgoers have a cool and comfortable place to relax from all the fun.
“We have a lot of people that come in and appreciate it because it’s cool in here. And if happens to rain, it’s out of the rain and it’s out of the heat. You know, we get to have like a it’s kind of like a restaurant. We, we really concentrate on quick service,” said Andy Orsa and Jesus Martinez, members of AMBUCS.
Buckle Up for Fun: Ride inspections are underway for South Plains Fair
The non-profit believed Orsa and Martinez would make the perfect pair to represent them at the fair because they both work in the food industry.
From sunrise to sunset, they are working and said it’s worth their time to give back to those in the community.
“Our big thing is supplying; we call them Amtrak’s; they are bicycles for handicapped. And I think, ambulance probably gives out maybe 50 or more a year. And then they also do scholarships for physical therapy,” said Orsa…
