LUBBOCK, Texas — Back in November 2022 , Dillards announced it would be expanding its presence in Lubbock with the construction of a 220,000-square-foot store set to open in 2024. Ashley Knox, SPM Senior Marketing Manager told EverythingLubbock.com on Thursday the new Dillards is now set to open in fall 2024.

Knox said the new Dillard’s location will be combining the men’s Dillard’s and women’s Dillard’s stores currently open in the South Plains Mall and also said how the new location will be different from the two current stores.
“We’re really excited to have Dillard’s combined. They’ll be in one location and will have a whole new design, look, and feel so really the whole shopping experience is being transformed with this new flagship location,” Knox said.
As for what will replace the current Dillard’s locations open in the South Plains Mall, Knox said they will look forward to announcing big changes in the future.
“It is a rare opportunity that our leasing team has the opportunity to bring in new retail to an anchor location at a property. So they’re working hard behind the scenes and we look forward to being able to announce big changes in the future,” Knox said.
