Lubbock man hit with gun during robbery, LPD report said

LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock man was robbed at gunpoint at a battery store in the 2300 block of Clovis Road on Thursday, according to a report from the Lubbock Police Department.

Just before 5:00 p.m., one suspect asked the victim if he could have the battery swapped out in his vehicle. The report said the victim told the suspect to park his car in the west side of the parking lot. Once the car was parked, two suspects exited the vehicle while the third suspect remained in the driver’s seat, according to the police report.

Verbal altercation leads to stabbing of Lubbock man

One suspect took out a black handgun from the pocket of his hoodie and aimed it at the victim.

“Give me your money or I’ll kill you,” said the suspect to the victim.

The police report said the victim gave the suspect his wallet. The suspect then hit the victim across the face with the handgun. The victim said he remembered the gun going off when he was hit, but there was no evidence of gunshot damage or shell casings, according to the police report.
