LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Police Department identified the victim in Sunday night’s fatal shooting as 35-year-old Orion Akins. EverythingLubbock.com previously reported officers were called to a motel in the 5200 block of Avenue Q South Drive for reports of a gunshot wound just before 8:00 p.m. Lubbock Police later said Akins was pronounced dead at the scene.
