One person hurt after structure fire in Lubbock Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas — One person was hurt after a possible structure fire in the 3900 block of 106th Street on Saturday, according to Lubbock Fire Rescue.

Frontage road work at Loop 88 to begin Tuesday in Lubbock

LFR said the person was transported to University Medical Center with unknown injuries.

LFR said the fire occurred at 7:25 p.m.

When LFR crews arrived on the scene of the large residential structure there was heavy smoke showing from the rear of the structure. LFR crews were able to quickly locate and knock out the fire.

The fire appeared to have possibly started on the back porch, according to LFR.

LFR said there are no known displacements at this time.

The Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
