Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Forecast for the South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KLBK) – KLBK Chief Meteorologist Jacob Riley has an update on expected viewing conditions for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse for the South Plains Region. Texas is one of 15 states that will get the best view of the upcoming total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. Lubbock and the South Plains region is located in the roughly 80 to 90 percent area of totality as the path of the eclipse will pass to our southeast.
