Lubbock felon indicted after pointing gun at victim’s head

LUBBOCK, Texas — Devon Sanders, 25, was indicted by the Lubbock County Grand Jury after he was booked in the Lubbock County Detention Center at the end of July due to an incident that followed an argument he had with another woman.

On Tuesday, Sanders was indicted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

The Lubbock Police Department was dispatched to 4th Street and Flint Avenue for a disturbance on July 28, according to court records previously obtained by EverythingLubbock.com.

Sanders arrived at the location where the three victims were. Court records said Sanders began arguing with one victim, accusing her of cheating. As the argument escalated, Sanders got in the second victim’s face, striking her lip with his finger.

The three victims got into the vehicle with Sanders. The victim was driving and told Sanders she was going to take him to the police station to feel safe. Court records said Sanders put a gun to her head, demanding she take him home. He then pointed the gun at the two other victims.
