“What a big honor for us,” said Director and Founder Jenifer Davis.

Davis started the Grace Lubbock Homeschool group 17 years ago when she was educating her own children. After her daughter expressed a desire for more social interaction, Davis sought to create a program where home-schooled students could learn together.

“My daughter looked up at the end of the year and said, ‘I love homeschooling, but I don’t have any friends,’” Davis said.

What began with just a few pamphlets and 12 families in 2007 has now grown to 138 families, representing about 600 individuals. The group meets once a week at a local church to work on class assignments together.
