5.1 magnitude earthquake felt in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas — At 7:49 p.m. on Monday, September 16, an earthquake centered in Tarzan, Texas, located between Lamesa and Midland, was felt in Lubbock. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported it was a 5.1 magnitude.

The seismic wave was felt across the South Plains.
