LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety on Tuesday said a Trooper was airlifted to a Lubbock-area hospital after being struck by a vehicle along State Highway 246 in Ector County.
A statement from DPS said the trooper was outside his vehicle investigating a crash when he was hit by a vehicle around 9:00 a.m.
DPS said the Trooper was seriously hurt and was taken to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa before being airlifted to Lubbock.
“At this time, the Trooper remains in serious but stable condition,” DPS said.
The investigation is ongoing, according to DPS.
