Man in Lubbock who rammed vehicle now indicted: Affidavit

LUBBOCK, Texas — Raymond Flores was indicted this week for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. According to a PC Affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com Thursday, the Lubbock Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 7400 block of 19th Street on Sept. 4.

A vehicle had been rammed off the roadway; officers found three people and a vehicle with significant damage on the passenger side, the affidavit said. The driver told police he was returning to Lubbock with friends when the vehicle was rammed by a driver he recognized as Flores. He thought it was intentional because Flores was one of the passenger’s ex boyfriends.

Next, two unknown subjects approached, armed with objects the driver believed they planned to strike the vehicle with. This put the occupants of the vehicle in fear of losing their lives, according to the affidavit.

According to all three victims and a witness, Flores sped out of a nearby parking lot and into the vehicle. The witness told police that it was “clearly an intentional act.” The victims all said that Flores and the other suspects fled the scene right after the incident.
