LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – Last Thursday, UMC faced a challenging ransomware attack. This resulted in an IT outage, affecting many of their systems. Consequently, all ambulance traffic was diverted to other hospitals, including Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Children’s. Our dedicated teams have been working tirelessly to provide uninterrupted care and access to medical services for our community. We will continue to support increased patient demands as UMC works to return to normal operations.
