Veterans Employment Services will host job skills training courses

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Veterans Commission is providing veterans professional development workshops for long term employment.

The Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Veterans Employment Services (VES) team’s Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) West Texas Road Show is on the go again.

After its highly successful debut that attracted hundreds of veterans, the VES team is again bringing this training to veterans in smaller cities and rural areas.

OBTT’s goal is to prepare unemployed veterans and their spouses to enter meaningful employment on a long-term basis.

The training offers four high-quality workshops covering creating resumes, job fair strategies, networking, how to perform proper introductions with employers and interview skills.

The West Texas OBTT Road Show scheduled stops:

October 7 – Amarillo

October 9 – Lubbock

October 11 – Wichita Falls

October 15 – Odessa

October 17 – Abilene

October 18 – San Angelo
