Lubbock Police to conduct investigation following crash that left one dead

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit will conduct a follow-up crash investigation on Thursday, October 3 beginning at 9 a.m.

Crews will begin their investigation in the westbound lanes of the 6500 block of Spur 327. The westbound lanes of Spur 327 will be closed to traffic. LPD said westbound traffic will be diverted to the Milwaukee Avenue off-ramp.

LPD expects the investigation to last about an hour.

This investigation comes after 22-year-old Joshua Bustos Jr. died in the area after a passenger car struck Bustos.
