Lubbock police identify the 2 people who were killed in North Lubbock crash

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department has confirmed that the two individuals who lost their lives were Bobby Moreno, 38 years old, and Cruz Moreno, 40 years old, after a North Lubbock on Saturday evening.

According to a press release from the Lubbock Police Department:

An investigation is underway by the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit following a collision in North Lubbock that left two people dead.

Lubbock Police were called to the 4800 block of North Interstate-27 at 8:37 p.m. on October
19. for a report of a collision with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers located two individuals who were later identified as 38-year-old Bobby Moreno and 40-year-old Cruz Moreno, deceased at the scene.

Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears Bobby and Cruz were traveling south
in a vehicle, along with 20-year-old Briana Arredondo.

Initial information indicates Bobby and Cruz got into a verbal altercation, at which time Cruz and Arredondo got out of the vehicle and began walking in the roadway. They were then struck by an SUV, which was also traveling south.
