Six teams are within one game of each other atop the Big 12 standings, and unbeaten conference co-leaders Brigham Young and Iowa State each needed late heroics to win games 38-35 last week. Oklahoma State and BYU traded go-ahead touchdowns late, Darius Lassiter’s TD catch with 10 seconds left pushing the Cougars to 7-0 for the first time since 2001. Iowa State got a Rocco Becht touchdown with 30 seconds left and then an interception from Jontez Williams to hold off visiting Central Florida and go to 7-0 for the first time since 1938.
