The top coffee shop that’s not Starbucks is located in Texas, says USA TODAY. Where is it?

T he top coffee shop in the country is in Texas, according to a national ranking.

Monomyth Coffee in Lubbock was identified by USA TODAY in its 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, which ranked the top independent coffee shops in America.

Monomyth was the only location in Texas to be considered among 20 other coffee shops across the U.S.

“Order a seasonal single-origin coffee brewed on a Moccamaster, a cappuccino, a matcha latte, or a cold brew cola at Monomyth Coffee in Lubbock, Texas, USA TODAY wrote. “Pair your coffee with a locally-baked pastry or a bacon onion quiche, and enjoy the friendly baristas and comfortable space, too.”

Monomyth was founded in 2019 by brothers Trenton and Randall Jackson and is located in a 100-year-old building in the heart of Lubbock.

“It’s a testament to the great work that our team is doing here and the values we have as a company and the impact we try to make on guests,” Trenton Jackson told KCBD 11 about the USA TODAY recognition.
