The first set of College Football Playoff rankings was released on Tuesday, and one team in the top 25 is currently experiencing one of the most remarkable turnarounds in college football. The No. 20 Colorado Buffaloes are 6-2 this season, a significant improvement from their previous record of 4-8 last year and 1-11 in 2022.
The Buffaloes are competing for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game and potentially the College Football Playoff. They are tied for second place in the conference, but they lose the tie-breaker to the Iowa State Cyclones.
Another loss could severely hurt their playoff chances. David Pollack mentioned this could happen against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday.
On his YouTube channel, “David Pollack College Football,” Pollack was asked which ranked team he would put on upset alert among the following matchups: Clemson at Virginia Tech, Colorado at Texas Tech or Washington at Penn State. Pollack indicated that he believes Texas Tech has a strong chance of defeating the Buffaloes.
“Texas Tech can win that football game, there’s no doubt,” Pollack said. “I don’t have any doubt about that at all. I was taking notes on Texas Tech last week, and Morton had missed some time at QB, and he came back and makes them a little bit different.”
