LUBBOCK, Texas — A Texas Tech fan made good on his social media promise Friday, getting a Zach Kittley tattoo on his backside.
“Once it really grew legs and took off I was like yeah I’m doing this, I can’t let the fans down,” Big Hen says.
Big Hen tweeted during the Iowa State game that he would get the tattoo of Zach Kittley if they won.
Tech did end up winning 23-22 to the No. 11 team in the nation.
And Big Hen’s tweet went viral, with hundreds interacting with it, even Coach Kittley himself.
Kittley connected with Big Hen and they came up with the idea for the tattoo.
The tattoo is the play call of the game winning run by Tahj Brooks, Money 18 King, that secured the win over Iowa State, with his signature right underneath.
And it is right on Big Hen’s rear end.
Big Hen and some friends went to Inkfluence in downtown Lubbock to get the tattoo done.
Coach Kittley even stopped by afterwards, giving the final approval and buying a round of drinks for Big Hen and his friends.
“I’m sure he’s thrilled to have his likeness on my body forever,” said Big Hen after getting the tattoo. “But he’s been really cool and excited about it and he just hopes it fires up the fans on Saturday.”
