LUBBOCK, Texas — Bryson Thomas Jr., 17, was identified as the accused shooter in the case that killed 32-year-old named Infant of Davila, who went by “Adrian Davila,” according to court records obtained by EverythingLubbock.com on Wednesday.
In a hearing on Tuesday, Thomas was certified to be tried as an adult.
Court records said Thomas was accused of shooting Davila and 19-year-old Donovan Sanchez had pushed him out of the vehicle. Sanchez was arrested on May 9.

In the early hours of May 8, Thomas, Sanchez and Davila were driving in a vehicle together, attempting to drive Davila home. Court records said Sanchez was driving the vehicle, Davila was in the passenger seat and Thomas was sitting in the back diver’s side seat.
While in the car, Davila was cussing at Thomas, court records said. Sanchez asked Davila where he lived and he said he lived on the south side of town but would not give him an address.
