Lubbock, TX – A storm system is set to bring light snow to parts of West Texas late Friday night into Saturday, with minor travel impacts expected in the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, precipitation will begin as rain before transitioning into a rain-snow mix overnight. Light snow accumulation of less than one inch is expected across the far southern Texas Panhandle and the northern South and Rolling Plains, including cities such as Plainview, Tulia, and Floydada.
Temperatures are forecast to remain above 30 degrees, reducing the likelihood of significant snow accumulation on roadways.
