UPDATE: So I got another one of these lovely cards in the mail a couple of weeks ago, and for the first time ever, I was selected to actually at least go in on the morning printed on my summons. It just so happened to be St. Patrick’s Day. So much for green beer all day.
Yes, I looked for ways to get out of it. Reschedule, conveniently forget about it, etc. but then I remembered about those fines I could get hit with, and possible warrants. I also wondered to myself what would really happen if I just decided not to show.
Well, I showed, went through the process, etc. There was one thing that was mentioned though while I was sitting in that room impatiently waiting, and it caught me off guard…
